My Approach
If you’re here, you’re probably celebrating something big. That alone is reason enough to document it.
I grew up in Humboldt County and have spent most of my life in Northern California. I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors, open spaces, beautiful light, and the little moments that happen naturally when people forget they’re being photographed. Photography started for me early on and eventually led me to earn a degree in Media Arts from Chico State, but weddings are where everything came together. There’s something about the mix of emotion, movement, nerves, and excitement that I genuinely love.
My approach is a balance of the polished and the real. I love a beautifully composed portrait just as much as I love the in-between moments—the laugh that wasn’t planned, the wind catching your veil, the way you reach for each other without thinking. I’m drawn to photographs that feel warm, nostalgic, and full of life, while still creating the timeless, intentional portraits you’ll want to come back to for years.
I’m also a little Type A—in the best way. I love a good timeline, I’m probably more prepared than I need to be, and I take being on time very seriously. I like knowing where we’re supposed to be and when, but I also know wedding days rarely go exactly according to plan. If things run behind, I’m good at adjusting, shifting things around, and keeping the day moving without making you feel rushed or stressed. My goal is for you to feel taken care of, not like you have to keep one eye on the clock.
More than anything, I care about making the experience feel easy. Your wedding isn’t a production. It’s personal, messy, beautiful, and completely yours. I’ll guide you when you need it, step back when the moment speaks for itself, and give you space to actually be present with the people you came to celebrate with.
I want your photographs to feel like more than a record of what happened. I want them to bring you back to how it felt to be there.
If that sounds like your kind of approach, I’d love to be part of it.
